How accurate are truth verification tests?
Field testing conducted on actual subjects in known outcome cases where independent evidence and/or confessions were available, demonstrated that trained, experienced examiners using AI Powered Voice Stress Detection technology can achieve highly accurate results. A significant advantage of AI Voice Stress Detection technology is that all test results are automatically scored by AI using a sophisticated algorithm, which eliminates examiner errors and bias.
Various research studies concluded that conventional biofeedback polygraph tests administered by a trained examiner using industry accepted test protocols and question formats also deliver highly accurate results.
Given that the average person can detect lies without equipment only about half the time, Computerized Truth Verification Testing provide a far more reliable means of uncovering the truth.
What if I am a naturally nervous person or worried that I will be falsely accused?
The good news is that truth verification examiners expect people to be nervous. It is perfectly normal to be nervous in such an unusual situation. In fact, if people are not a bit nervous in such an unusual situation, it makes an examiner sit upright.
Will it have a negative effect if I take prescribed medications like blood pressure medicine?
Your examiner will conduct a pre-test interview to discuss any medications you may be on and will take it into consideration. Common medications have no effect on the accuracy of voice stress detection tests. People who are under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs will not be tested untill such time as they are suitable for testing.
Are there any counter measures that can be used to manipulate the results of the test?
There are no known counter measures for voice stress detection based truth verification tests except not answering the test questions. With conventional biofeedback testing there are a number of known counter measures which your examiner is trained to detect. Employing of counter measures will lead to you failing the test.
Can I be tested if I am pregnant?
YES - our voice stress testing process only makes use of a headset microphone for in-person testing or a cellphone for remote testing. There are no other uncomfortable sensors or sensors that may cause harm to the unborn child.
Can I get a copy of the test results?
Test results are normally sent to the person who requested the tests. However, the person being tested has the right to get a copy of the test results.
How long does it take to get the test results?
We aim to provide a written test report within 24 hours after completion of the test. We understand that most clients want the test results the same day and we strive to provide results as quickly as possible without compromising on quality and accuracy.
I prefer to do a conventional polygraph test. Do you offer that?
Yes we can assist with a conventional biofeedback polygraph test using a Stoelting CPS Pro Fusion Polygraph instrument. If a conventional biofeedback polygraph test is required, we request that you specify it when making your test booking(s).
